PowerM Business Continuity Plan FAQ

  • Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.
  • Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.  Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.
  • The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow).
  • Fever, tiredness, dry cough.
  • Shortness of breath, aches and pains, sore throat
  • Very few people will report diarrhoea, nausea or a runny nose. People with mild symptoms who are otherwise healthy should self-isolate and contact their medical provider or a COVID-19 information line for advice on testing and referral.
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, or clean them with alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Maintain at least 1 metre distance between you and people coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
  • Stay home if you feel unwell.
  • Refrain from smoking and other activities that weaken the lungs.
  • Practice physical distancing by avoiding unnecessary travel and staying away from large groups of people.
The Government of Morocco has announced a “Health State of Emergency” as part of its emergency measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. It will remain in effect until 10 of June 2020. During this period, movement during the day should be limited to work, shopping, medical care, purchasing medicine/medical supplies, and emergency situations only. Train and intra-city bus service has been suspended and a curfew has also been put into place. During the 6 PM to 6 AM curfew, movement restrictions will be strictly enforced. All regularly scheduled commercial flights to and from Morocco are suspended indefinitely.
PowerM takes an impact-based approach to business continuity management by designing preparedness and response plans that address the availability of our workforce, workplaces, technologies, and critical interdependencies.
  • We are using a collaboration hub, where our experts and customers come together, helping everyone get work done
  •  All our internal and customers facing apps are cloud native and hosted on two different regions
  • For security measures, our stock of spare parts has been redeployed at two sites
  • Critical incidents (production down and compromised security) will be handled immediately with on site presence
PowerM is committed to upholding the terms and agreements set with your company. We maintain a multi-sourcing strategy for most of proposed hardware and software components, and PowerM works continuously to avoid delays that impact customers.
If COVID-19 continues to intensify, lead times may further increase. PowerM is working diligently to minimize potential added lengthening of lead times, and we will keep you informed on any impacts that would affect your business.
At this time, we do not expect issues in providing spare parts. Currently, the only delays we are experiencing are with delivery to customers who have limited access to their sites or where there are transportation delays.
  • PowerM’s employee geographic diversity provide inherent resilience to the continuity of our hardware and services across major cities of Morocco. We are committed to meeting all our agreements throughout this situation, so that your business can continue to operate as normal.
  • PowerM authorised employees who can proceed  an "on site support" according to an internal note PM-PRA-DOC-COM-INT.17.03.2020 with total compliance with Moroccan authorities recommandations. This note specify the customers name, adresses , datacenter GPS locations and authorized PowerM employee name including its CIN and CNSS numbers, duration and detailed explanation of the type of emergency addressed by an "on site presence obligation"
